Georgios Andreadis (1997) is sinds najaar 2023 de dirigent van het Practicum Musicae Orkest. Voor hij het dirigeerstokje oppakte was hij al vele jaren actief als orkestspeler. Zo was hij concertmeester bij onder andere Het Klassiek Collectief en Collegium Musicum Traiectum en altvioolaanvoerder bij het Ricciotti Ensemble en het Practicum Musicae Orkest. Tussendoor speelde hij waar mogelijk ook nog slagwerk en was hij bij Ensemble ZOEF sinds de oprichting in 2018 tot 2024 actief als altviolist, slagwerker én projectopzetter. Zo speelde hij met dit ensemble voor CD-opnames en live op NPO Klassiek, maar zorgde hij er ook mede voor dat mensen in het speciaal onderwijs, mentale zorginstellingen en dak- en thuislozenopvangen van muziekvoorstellingen konden genieten. Directielessen volgt Georgios bij Alejandro Cantalapiedra en Sander Teepen. In het dirigeren komen zijn liefdes voor alle instrumenten en hun verschillende rollen in het orkest samen. Als dirigent hoopt Georgios dan ook de spelers te inspireren om het beste uit de muziek te halen en de verbinding met het publiek te leggen.

Georgios Andreadis (1997) has been the conductor of the Practicum Musicae Orchestra since autumn of 2023. Before he picked up the baton, he had been active as an orchestra player for many years. He was concertmaster of Het Klassiek Collectief and Collegium Musicum Traiectum, among others, and principal viola at the Ricciotti Ensemble and the Practicum Musicae Orchestra. In between, he also played percussion where possible and was a founding member of Ensemble ZOEF since 2018 until 2024 as a violist, percussionist, and project creator. He played with this ensemble for CD recordings and live on NPO Klassiek, but he also helped ensure that people in special education, mental care institutions and homeless shelters could enjoy tailored music performances. Georgios takes conducting lessons with Alejandro Cantalapiedra and Sander Teepen. In conducting, his passions for all instruments and their different roles in the orchestra come together. As a conductor, Georgios hopes to inspire the players to get the best out of the music and connect with the audience.
